IN THE NEWS
Among many big news/rumors are changes coming down the pipe from USAC
to separate racing into two tiers. Read all about it at
http://www.velonews.com/race/dom/articles/10963.0.html
Another interesting thing that was reported is that the action is now
focusing on the women, with the creation of a women's team pursuit
event coming to a velodrome near you. Read all about here:
http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/?id=2006/womens_teampursuit
So who is in for a women's pursuit at the Ed Rudolph Velodrome? If
you would like such an event added to 2007 racing schedule, please
send your e-mail of support to racedirector at northbrookvelodrome.org
and make sure that your subject line reads Women's Pursuit or it will
go unnoticed.
If you have been asleep at the wheel, the track nationals have had
some great performances including that of top Illinois resident Todd
Yezefski (Chicago, Ill.) who placed 4th in the Men's 30-Kilometer
Points Race. You can read all about it the 2006 USA Cycling Elite
Track National Championships by visiting

Have a great weekend.
