Dear Riders,

I hope you were able to venture outside yesterad as it was great  
weather for cycling and many more activities.


OFF TRACK ACTIVITIES

As you know I announced that I was going to participate in the  
Northshore Century and I was a little late in my start.  I did arrive  
at the site at 7:00 a.m. but began to talk to some folks and before  
you know the clock approaching 8:00 a.m.  Me and friends in tow jumped  
on the bikes and departed by 7:50 a.m.

I guess when you make such announcement you need to keep your word, as  
I got busted by one of our riders who was heading south who yelled, "I  
thought you were going to be starting at 7:00 a.m. you bum!"

The morning started a title breeze but it was excellent for cycling.   
I rode 115kms in total because I overshot one of the turns and ended  
up near the Great Lakes Naval Academy (all those cute sailors!).  As  
it turns out there were several people following me once we turned  
around we were back on track.

Don't forget to check out the outcome of our velodrome racers who  
participated in the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival in Hayward, WI. The

your bids.  So, don't leave home without the check book as all  
proceeds will go toward funding the 2007 velodrome events.

What should you wear you ask yourself?  Well dress as if you are  
visiting mother on Mothers Day.  You get the hint!
