SCHEDULE PLANNING - KEIRIN

The Keirin for the Pro 1/2 will be held on Thursday, July 19th. This  
is in preparation for the Keirin Championships planned for July 26th  
which will serve as the Keirin Velodrome/Championship/Elite Qualifiers.

LAP THAT FIELD

Attention women riders please stump out the "nay sayers" by lapping  
the field in an event.  The first woman who laps the field is being  
offered over $156.00 with an additional bonus provided by an angel  
donor.  So let's put some gas in those pedals this Thursday Night.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED (Saturday, July 22)

The first ever Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Grand Prix of Cycling  
will be held on Saturday, July 22.  The race is part of Superweek.

Chris Mailing of Turin Bicycle are looking for a number of volunteers  
to fill some spots.  Turin Bicycle has been a sponsor at the velodrome  
for many years and it would be grand to show them support by  
volunteering your time. Volunteers receive food and clothing as a  
premium for helping out with the event.

LADIES NIGHT RAFFLE WINNER

The Ladies Night raffle winner is Irene Pang (ABD).  Irene received a  
full Specialized training kit. (Specialized Mira jersey which retails

CHAMPIONSHIP MONTH ? AUGUST

Be reminded that August will be championship month at the Ed Rudolph  
Velodrome and it would be wise to begin making preparations.  We

ROGER DeLANGHE TROPHY RACE (Thursday, August 2)

The 10th Annual Roger DeLanghe Trophy Race will be contested on August  
the 2nd.
Pre-registration is required for the event.  Riders may pre-register  
online at our website, northbrookvelodrome.org, or in person at our  
regular Thursday night racing (only July 19 and 26th).  Online  
registration will begin on Friday, July 20 and will close Wednesday, 1  
August at
5:00 p.m.  An additional fee of $10 will be required to participate in  
the Roger DeLanghe Trophy Race.

If you hold a season pass please let Manfred Ray, Race Director know  
in person on July 19 or July 26 whether you will be racing the RDL.

This race will have a field limit of 50 riders. Any open slots, or  
no-show slots, will filled race night.

Before you know it, it will be time to play in the "mud" again.  For  
this reason the Chicago Cyclocross Cup Committee wants to keep you
