Dear Riders,

We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday as we welcome once again ABD
Cycling Team as our sponsor.  This is the second year that this club has made
contributions to the races at the Ed Rudolph.  They were part of our 2005
Ladies Night success.


ABD CYCLING TEAM POINTS RACE RACING NIGHT - Thursday, August 10

ABD Cycling Team will be the proud sponsor of the night

night, in addition, to the typical race offerings you will be able to race in
the special event that offers a total combined purse of $1,000.  The race
schedule is posted at http://www.northbrookvelodrome.org/schedule  On-line
registration will be available next week.

The special events breakdown is as follows:

This is the last race in which the women category 1/2/3 and category
4 will race separately.  The women races will offer a total combined purse of
$500 and paying six (6) places deep in each category.  So bring your teammates
and start strategizing on how you can get a piece of the purse.  The category
1/2/3 women will race the 18 laps/6.8kms and category 4 will race 15 
laps/5.7kms
of a points race.  Sprint will occur every 3 laps.

The Pro/1/2 men will be going head-to-head to get a piece of the $500 total
purse of the points race.  You will be racing 60 laps/22.9kms and will be
paying
eight (8) places deep.  Sprints will occur every 5 laps.  This will be 
the main
event of the evening and we anticipate a great attendance.

In addition, ABD have donated FREE entry fee gift certificates for the 2006
Winfield Criterium weekend races.  The primes will be offered as primes in the
following categories:

Juniors 10/14
Juniors 15/18
Cat. 4
Women Cat.1/2/3
Women Cat.4
PRO/1/2/3

RIDER WAIVER FORM INFORMATION

Is this your first race of the season at the track?  If so, then we 
need you to
complete a rider waiver form.  Please download a waiver form at
http://www.usacycling.org/forms/rider_release.pdf  This form is a requirement
with no exceptions.  Please complete, sign and bring along with you in order
for a number to be issued to you.

If you already have been racing all season long we may already have a waiver
form on file for you.

MADISON RACING (September 7)

The next Madison race will be held on Thursday, September 7 and will be open
only to Category 4 riders.

As previously announced, all Category 4 entrants in a Developmental Madison
must have either:

a) previously participated in a Madison race at the Northbrook Velodrome in
2005 or 2006 or

b) have completed two Madison training clinics this year.
