Hello Ladies and Jr Ladies,

I hope that all is well with you and that you have had a chance to catch the
Winter Olympics as you sit on the trainers and imagine yourselves setting a
record in the speed events.

As you know we have being busy planning the season and I just wanted to preview
you on the upcoming Ed Rudolph Velodrome races that will be held with you in

your scratch board.

Also Jr Ladies, please note that you are eligible to participate in all women
events.

WOMEN TRACK CLINIC
Saturday, May 13 (Saturday, June 3 ? Rain Date)

In this one-day event you will learn track cycling etiquette,
mounting/dismounting techniques, pace line riding, sprinting drills, group
riding and we will offer in a simulated race.

After you have learned the basics, we invite you to attend the practice clinics
held on Monday/Tuesday nights.  For further information on our weekly track

June 22-- USCF Racing featuring the ELAINE NEKRITZ TROPHY RACE sponsored by
Alberto's Sport

Type of Race:  Points Race
Categories:  Cat 1/2/3 and Cat 4 (each group races separately)
Distance:  30 lap (cat 1/2/3) and 15 lap (category 4)

A first ever trophy race for women track racers that will boast a -- phat --
purse of over $800 in cash, the largest women offering for the season.  Please
mark you calendar and plan on being part of this historic moment.

July 13--USCF Racing featuring a LADIES' SPECIAL RACE NIGHT sponsored by
George Garner Cyclery

Type of Race:  Points Race
Categories:  category 1/2/3 and cat 4
Distance:  20 lap (category 1/2/3) and 10 lap (category 4)
Purse:  $250

Aug. 3--USCF Racing featuring the 10th Annual Roger DeLanghe Trophy Race -
Championship Scratch Race sponsored by 2CC and the Pony Shop (WITH A SPECIAL
WOMEN EVENT)

Type of Race: Scratch Race
Distance: 10 kilometers
Categories:  Cat 1/2/3 and Cat 4
Purse: TBD
Notes:  USCF National Level II Track Event & Women National Qualifier and IL
State Championship Event.

There may be several women that may opt to 'suck' the wheels of the men in
the 50 lap race, however, this race has been created with you in mind and we
hope to see you there.   Also note that you will not be recognized as a
national qualifier unless you race against other women.

June 16-17--USCF JUNIORS' OPEN INVITATIONAL and IL State Championships for
boys and girls age 10-18 featuring the Jim Rossi Omnium Trophy sponsored by
XXX Racing/AthletiCo and Yojimbo's Garage (rain date - June 18)

Categories:  Jr Boys/Girls (age 10-18)
Distance:  TBD
Purse:  TBD
Notes:  USCF National Level II Track Event
