Dear Riders,

How are things? Some of us are busy with CX season and others are
just plain riding.

NCC MEETING (Thu Oct 18)

This is a reminder that the NCC is holding their monthly meeting on
Thursday, October 18 at the Village Green located at 1810 Walters
Avenue in the Village of Northbrook, IL. The meeting will be held
from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

WORLD MASTER's CHAMPIONSHIPS

Don't mess with Host, that is Jim Host as he recently finished 9th in
the 50 to 54 500m Time Trial Final down under (Australia). See full
results here:

If you recall the National Master's Track Champion have been burning
up the tracks since late August. All I have to say is, "I want what
he is eating."

We hope that he is wearing those lucky American Flag socks!

CYCLOCROSS WEEKEND (Sun Oct 21)

The CHi CX Cup resumes this Sunday, October 21 with race #2. A flyer
is available by visiting
http://www.chicrosscup.com/flyers/2007%20carpenters%20park%20flyer.pdf

Can Devon Haskell (Get-A-Grip/University of Chicago) keep the women
1/2/3 at bay? She was splashing up mud at the Badger Cross this
passed weekend and kept all the Wisco ladies looking at her back. I
think there is nothing but "ahead" for this collegiate sensation.

The women cat IV race is heating up with Debbie Pielet (Albertos)
gunning for her second win. Will she keep the field seeing RED again?

John Tomlinson (XXX Racing AthletiCo) may ride away with the Jrs
series -- can anyone stop him? He is hot on the trail these days!

How about Lou Kuhn? Will he Pony-up to first in the Men 30+? and can
the Vision Quest boys stop the Pony Shop duo in the Pro/1/2?

Ben Popper (XXX Racing AthletiCo) is showing great form in the 3s.

How about the 40+ men? How will things shake up there?

The Cat IV men is wide open because those leads can change like
musical chairs.

Don't sit at home this weekend... come on out and cheer on our riders.
